“Ter-Ghazaryans’ Micro Art” Museum
Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan has inherited the unique talent and skills from his prominent namesake grandfather, micro-sculptor, a virtuoso, one of the founders of the Armenian Symphonic Orchestra, an innovator and crafter of musical instruments, cartoonist and inventor.
Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan was born in 1978 in Yerevan. He holds an MA in law from MESI. Since 1998 he has been organizing exhibitions of the works of his grandfather. He has organized numerous commercial and charity exhibitions in Los Angeles, Dubai, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and different cities of Armenia.
From 2009 Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan encouraged by his grandfather, has worked with the latter for a few years, during which he acquired professional skills in micro-sculpture, and later practiced the art himself, actualizing his renowned grandfather’s desire to retain, develop and pass his unique art through future generations. Soon after, Ter-Ghazaryan, fascinated by the art of micro-sculptor, fully devoted himself to his beloved art, making the latter the sole occupation and meaning of his life.
Currently, Eduard Ter-Ghazaryan is technically and technologically expanding the art of micro-sculpture, not only thematically, but also improving and expanding its genres, such as micro portraits and micro logos. At present the artist is working on the most complex genre of the art – creation of micro-sculptures in motion. He has created more than 100 micro sculptures so far. Many of them in private collections, as well as are exhibited in various museums. Among the owners of his micro works are – Pope Francis; His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; Charles Aznavour; House-museum of composer Alexander Spendiaryan; Yerevan Press Club; House-museum of Armenian poet Avetik Isahakyan, and etc.
